Where should I begin! When I was young, my first experience of white water was canoeing. My dad even told to me about his adventures rafting down the Rouge River. But I never thought that one day it would be me, guiding him down that same river, 28 years later! It is now my new career! This adventure took me all around the world; New Zealand, Australia, Zambia and Spain. I also learned two other languages. Don't know what to do this summer? Come and try this unforgettable experience and you never know where it might take you! There are rivers all over the globe!

River Guide
Young professional looking for a crew for rafting on the Rouge River, but specially to spend unforgettable moments in good company at New World Rafting's base camp.
After a first year as a part-time river guide for New World Rafting, I decided to come back a second year to improve my skills, but mainly to enjoy the outdoors of this wonderful group activity.
My journey at New World began with the rookie training in April 2007, testing my experience gained through various other water sports. I continued thereafter for more than 35 days in the season for a total of more than 70 awesome river raids.
The cumulation of my runs allowed me to understand and better interpret the different holes, rocks and waves thereby offering the best possible rafting adventure. Each run is different because each group is unique in itself. Sometimes we "rock", sometimes we are "smooth", but one thing is certain: we always have loads of fun!

Some swim in their bathroom with their life-jacket, others will work all week before, with their paddle, one thing is sure, there's no way to ensure that you will not go in the water! ! Whether it's the wave of the Canyon or broths of the Washing Machine, the Rouge River has the last word! A team sport where your pleasure and safety are our priorities, what awaits you! Even after several hundred runs, I always look forward to be back on water (or under water!) And pass another of these unforgettable days. FORWARD!!

Since 2001 I worked as a rafting guide at New World, and since then my passion for white water is increasing. I was fortunate to do several rivers in Quebec and the United States. I am also part of the competition team Les Filles de la Rouge since 2002. Our last participation, in November 2008, in the Pan Americans championships on the Mendoza River in Argentina has been a great success, we won the first place!
Hoping to go down the Rouge River with you this summer!

A profession, certainly not what I expected to discover seven years ago while I was going down the mighty Rouge for my first time. Here I am, with 8 seasons of whitewater experiences in three different countries and on more than thirty rivers including those I've done during my free time with friends. It became more than a passion or a profession but a life style. Come and share that experience with us!!

I've been guiding the Rouge river since 98. The first time I got down, the river had me totally addicted. I paddeled many different rivers since and my passion for swift waters is bigger than ever. I now, practice kayak and canoe as well every summer. I perfected my art of partying at our renowned bar. Come on down and I'll give you a crash course…

Summer 1983, I had my first boat, I was surfing on the water with an incredible sense of freedom and euphoria. Since that day exploring the waterways has become my passion and now, my work. I invite you to come share this passion with me, on my favorite river, the Rouge.

"From my first experience rafting, I got the bug! I love seeing the wave burring my boat, feeling the thrill of the flip and confusion of surf ... Each is unique and is found only in white water. .
